Dreams be crazy... was I lucid?

Ok, I think I may have had a lucid dream, but i'm not sure... So, I did a WILD. I ended up in a dark room and there was one light source. IIRC it was a YouTube video on the wall, about having an LD. I quickly became lucid. I was able to ask for something and it would happen. I asked for light and got it. I asked for a door and got one. I walked through the door into a place that looked very much like portal or portal 2. The walls were lighter in color but.. you get the idea. As I walked in, I began to hear voices. It didn't scare me much then but... man... I realized I was losing the dream so I looked down at my hands, rubbed them together, span around (not sure on this one) and told myself I am lucid dreaming. I noticed that my hands were invisible! It didn't help. When I "awoke", it was a non-lucid dream, but I thought it was real. I awoke in my bed.. the power had gone out (wouldn't surprise me if it happened IRL) so naturally I walked to the room where the circuit breakers are. As I walked, I noticed two strange things. One: a USB power adapter was in a very strange place on my bed, something that wouldn't happen IRL. two: the desk that is in the other room was in the wrong place and items that normally aren't there were there. I woke up after that. My question: was the "lucid dream" just a dream inside a dream? Or was it a REAL lucid dream? Either way, this was a fun and.. slightly scary (just because its so new, i'll get used to it) experience. I hope it was real.

If you have a dream inside a dream your still in a dream. So yes it was. Congrats : 3

This happened to me a couple weeks ago, they're called False Awakenings! It didn't feel like it was a ld when I woke up after the dream I thought was reality, but I wasn't sure. I read you're supposed to do reality checks the moment you wake up from a dream just to make sure it's not a false awakening

Nope. You were originally lucid, but you were not in your "second dream" This is not a dream within a dream, but a False Awakening. Congrats on your lucid though, many more to come!
