      I think I had a LD?

It was strange because I almost felt like I knew I was sleeping, I could sense myself on the couch I was sleeping on, and may have made some conscious decisions about the dream. I also could feel physical, emotional reactions to the dream, which was violent. I didn't really have full control, but could sense a direction that I wanted to take.

What many people feel, is that if you have a Lucid Dream, you will know for sure that you did because your entire consciousness will carry over into the dream world and it will feel as real as waking life. You will know for sure without a doubt if you have one. It is possible however to have one early in the night and then sleep through the rest of the night and your memory of it when you wake up will be blurry and unclear. Most of the times if you do not wake up immediately after a Lucid Dream and record it in your journal that may happen and some memory of it may go away. Hope this cleared things up a little man

You can have different levels of consciousness in lucid dreams. A few times I have experienced dreams in which I knew I was dreaming, but didn't really take control in them and the memory of these dreams can be blurry upon waking, because of a low level of awareness. As long as at some point you realised you were dreaming, yes, you had a lucid dream
