      Having Some Trouble with WILD

WILD is my favorite method of lucid dreaming. I have had many successful WILDs until lately. My brothers keep getting up at like 6:00 and making a lot of noise. That just happens to be the time when I do my WILDs! I have tried getting up earlier at like 5:00 but have had no luck. My WILDs work best between 6:00 and 7:00. I also have an app for binaural beats and ambient sounds, which I like. However, I don't like having headphones in when I'm lying on my side or belly. Is there any way to have WILDs while there are noises being made in the house? They are not really loud usually, they just distract me! Thanks for any advice!

If they distract you from WIlD then you might not be able to do it at that time like you normally have been and may need to make a few changes. You could try asking your brothers to not make any noise until at least 7:00. You could try getting some earplugs. My family doesn't go to bed until a lot later than I do and I have two loud sisters. I also sleep in the basement so any noises from things hitting the wooden floor upstairs are pretty loud. I decided to get some earplugs and now, unless they make a very loud or high pitched noise, I don't hear them at all and can go to sleep when I want to, which is great especially in the school year when I have to get to bed early so I can wake up early without being exhausted.

Did you try just waking up an hour earlier, or did you also go to sleep an hour earlier? If not, doing that for a few days might help..?

Earplugs are a good idea; that has crossed my mind once or twice. I will definitely try that since I don't really have any other options. My brothers don't listen to me at all, so I cant tell them to be quiet! With my sleeping schedule, waking up at 6:00 for a WILD is most effective. Thanks!

I have tried waking up at 5:00, but for whatever reason, I just end up awake for hours. Going to bed an hour earlier and then getting up at 5:00 might work. I am going back to school soon, so I will have to go to sleep earlier anyway. Thanks!

I sometimes find that if I sleep on my side or have pressure against my ear then in the morning my ears hurt a little bit from the earplugs, but I think that's just from having the earplug in all night for, 8+ hours, so I don't think that will be a problem for you. I hope that you will be able to get back on track with your WILDs

Thanks; I will probably put in the earplugs when I wake up, since that's when my brothers start being annoying. I know what you mean by them hurting your ears. I used them a few years ago because we had just gotten some cows that were mooing all night.
