      My First half-lucid dream

OK so I started practising lucid dreaming about 3 weeks ago and this week I had 2 symptoms of getting close to becoming lucid.
2 Days ago a moment after i Has fallen asleep i noticed that I must be dreaming and i need to do a reality check. I was in a weird room and there was a guy talking to me. However, at the moment I thought this everything started to get faded and i woke up. It's probably because it was a non-rem dream and it was immediately after I had fallen asleep, so the dream wasn't stabilized.

And today i realized that i'm dreaming but i didn't do the RC somehow and i remember that i thought i can do anything but it didn't feel so real.

So it seems i'm getting closer. I do the nose plug RC and write a dream journal. I might soon try some techniques but i think i need better dream recall.

Good job By the sound of it you're getting closer. I only recently started learning to lucid dream too, I've had 1 (kind of 2) and I've plateaued into a similar place to you.

If you want a few tips, do more than one kind of RC (I count fingers, push my thumb through my hand, try to push my hand through stuff, nose plug, and occasionally a mirror check when I realize there's one nearby). If you have 2 weeks of dreams in your journal then it may be time to start going through and looking for any dream signs that you can RC to daily. If you can recall 2 decent dreams a night then you're getting good dream recall.

You probably already know this, but reading and learning and just generally thinking about lucid dreaming will all contribute towards achieving a lucid dream, it's all experience. A good read is 'Stephen LaBerge - Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming' - he's kinda the main man who recognized lucid dreaming was real.

Keep up the good work - you're bound to have a lucid dream soon
