There's this... theory? that, when we are lucid dreaming and we look in a mirror, our reflection is how we truly see ourselves. While that is quite interesting (and I have done it before), it has also inspired lots of "myths". Many people are scared of looking in a mirror while lucid dreaming and it's become a "do it, if you dare" kind of thing for some...
In my opinion? If you look at it thinking that you'll see something scary, you'll see something scary. Lucid dreaming is all about expectation. And if you're afraid of what you MIGHT see, then you might end up afraid of the whole thing, even if, like in your case, you don't see anything at all. So... next time you find yourself in a LD, take a deep breath, find a mirror and look at it calmly. It can be a very interesting experience (I'm a trans man and, when I did this, I really saw an average man looking back at me, even though I'm still 100% female, biologically speaking). But be sure that you're not freaking out about it, otherwise you'll end up with a bad experience. Good luck!
