      A Really Weird Question

I have a question that's been perplexing me since this morning. Suppose there is a person you've been wanting to "meet" and talk to in a LD. This person can be someone you never met, someone you don't really know well, someone you lost touch with years ago. So, you have an LD with this person in it in which you get to talk. Suppose the conversation is really intense and the person tells you all kinds of interesting and intense things about his life and how he feels, etc. Things that seem very real and true. I'm wondering if the person you had this dream experience with could ever somehow sense in their "real life" like something odd or intense occured in them or about them. Like, I'm wondering if they could have a sense of your dream. You know? This is really hard to verbalize.

I dont know too much in this area...but i can offer some suggestions.

From what i have heard and know, it is very rare to meet with someone in a dream, i have never spoken to someone physically or on this site who has done this, and recalled. Perhaps it is possible, and i really think it is...and i would like to try with someone sometime.
Maybe it was your mind setting up situations about her life, in your dream, or maybe not, i have no idea, but it is possible!
I wasnt much help, but i tried!

Yes, you have. Serinanth and I shared a dream a while ago and have made cameos in one another's dreams since then.

Have you spoken with him/her? I imagine s/he would remember such a dream and be able to confirm or deny it. It is rare, yes, but it isn't impossible.

It does happen. Not to me yet, but I am definately working on it!

When it does, and with the approval of the other party, I will post about it, if it is not too personal =)

Hm, personally I don't believe dream sharing is possible. So in reply to your question, the only real way I think they could pick up on it is if they met you and you somehow non verbally communicated the intensity of the dream.

Yeah, I trust them too, they seem like very genuine and intelligent people, I'm just not entirely sure it happened. To be honest though, I don't know the details of what happened so my opinions are ill informed.
Completly off topic, I had a surprise 18th birthday party tonight and I'm fairly drunk right now. That usually results in lucid dreams for me so everyone wish me luck tonite.

No, I haven't and I can't. This person is someone I met only once, but I admire immensely. He's an artist of small scale repute, and I know a tiny bit about his life. I guess I was probably projecting on him. The conversation was very intense, though.

So, I've gathered from some of these responses that conversations with a particular person in a lucid dream is unusual?? Is that correct?

There's a bunch of Shared Dreaming information in the "Links" topic in the Tutorial section. Perhaps you could find out something there.

      Shared dreaming..Well, I reckon it's possible.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I don't dream of talking to people very much in my dream but I also met someone in my waking life that came through in my dream several times (never lucid though). We normally speak without taking in my dream but a couple of times we did talk. The conversation is general but there's a feeling of connection. The confusing thing is, I only met this person a couple of times in waking life and we never said much verbally but we did through our eyes!! Oh my goodness, feels like we know each other but we don't!

      How strange is that?

PS: My friend is into lucid dreaming and once we are both comfortable we are going to try to dream share.

      Blissful
