I dont think dreaming in third person will keep you from becoming lucid. It just matters how much confidence you have. Also your dream wasn't lucid if you didn't realize you were dreaming. |

Occasionally I hear people complain they dream in 3rd person so they can't become lucid. Well, last night I was dreaming and watching a story 3rd person. At some point I realized or thought "this is a dream commercial. It is because I have been watching too much tv". There was some guy walking and promoting some soft drink. I thought too bad, it isn't a dream I am in. But then I decided to stick out my hand and take the soft drink. Things became 3d and he handed me the beverage, and away I went! This may be like stepping into a WILD from what I have read, although I entered as far as I could tell without initially being aware...DILD. |

Yes...but I did indeed realize it. That is why I decided since I was dreaming I could participate. On one level I knew it was a dream at first but my awareness was really low. But then it's like I roused and realized HEY, I'M DREAMING! I have seen this before...there seems to be a threshold of awareness one needs to cross. |

Hmmm.... definitely interesting. I did have a strange dream where I was in a video game world in which I was viewing myself from a side-scrolling perspective. Really hard to describe, but it was similar to a 3rd person perspective view.... |
