I often forget that I'm dreaming

When I've lucid dreamed in the past, on several occasions I am lucid at the start, but as the dream goes on, this awareness fades until it has turned into a regular dream. Does anyone else experience this, and how can I fix it?

It happens, on the night I became lucid the greatest number of times 5 I lost lucidity several times too became lucid, lost lucidity, became lucid, lost lucidity, became lucid, woke up, only ever successful DEILD lucid again, woke up, went back to sleep got lucid (I only counted this as 3 LD) if you have infinity squared lucids why do you care try doing some math problems in your dream to make yourself more aware or say to yourself I am lucid I have several times recently had false awakening after lucid and then began to journal in my dreams, or tell DCs that I was lucid, then forget the dreams, but my recall is so good I got them back after laying in bed and recalling (once it was 5 dreams back, I finally remembered back far enough to remember journaling on a napkin in a dream scene, then I recalled it) I often wonder how many lucids are lost due to poor recall
