      I'm lucid, now what?

      Hello, DV!
Whenever I'm lucid (still a beginner) I've noticed a reoccurring theme. I wake up several times throughout the night, and use the Wake to Bed technique (although I'm guilty of going straight to bed instead of actually waiting 20 minutes.) I'm lonely in real life and never seem to have luck with women, so they constantly appear in my dreams. (I want a relationship with one sooooooo bad in real life, and only had one relationship a year ago when I was 22.....
When I am lucid after seeing a mirror, I find myself in a department store, and immediately search the crowd for an ideal woman to date, etc. I also become lucid after focusing on a particular object. However, I always appear as a spectator, and can't seem to control the actual dream. The only time was when I was in front of a mirror, and tried to change my shirt green, but only turned a sleeve green instead. I need help, and tried the twirl method to keep from fading out, but that woke me up instead. Any advice appreciated. Thanks! -Shawn

I suggest using the hand behind the back method. Just put your hand behind the back and wait for an ideal female to touch it. It usually only takes a couple of seconds. When you turn around you'll have a woman who's all yours! If it's not your ideal woman, you just turn away from her and try again.

Try taking the time to really solidify the dream once you become lucid. Take a moment to really pour your attention into your surroundings, touch things, don't think too much until the dream is as clear as real life. When the dream is solid, think about your goal, what do you really want? Then...THEN...try and make it happen.

Twirling was never a useful trick for me, hand rubbing was a little bit more successful, but this method rarely fails for me, it might be a good path for you too.
