      Having a Loved One Die

Having a loved die in a dream...with the emotions that should come along with it, it one of the most shocking dreams one could have. I mean, I went through this just last night. One of my best friends died, and although I didn't give it much thought during the dream, I remember overlooking the scenary where we used to hang out, and that triggered loads of sobbing (inside the dream) I had some DC comfort me, but it didn't help, and before she died, she told me "I will always be with you" yet that did nothing to make me feel any better. So I figure when someone in my life dies in real life, no "spiritual" consolation is going to help, dying is really a majorrrrr change (which is at first, terrible)

But when I woke up, that's when the feelings usually are the strongest and radiate widely. MAN, it was hard to stomach as I was gradually transitioning into the realization that I'm back in real life.

Hurts doesn't it . I had a very similar dream once. I was so down and depressed for a few days, and when I saw my friend again I hugged him for ages, I was so happy to see him. During the hug I said "Don't ask..." and, since we're so close, he understood and accepted it. Very touching. I don't wanna go through that again.

I agree Airrick, the pain of losing someone in a dream is quite severe. Luckily it fades after a day of being awake.

October 3rd will mark the 2nd anniversary of my sisters death. Reality IS much worse.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Was your sister the one who committed suicide? I remember you saying that some of your relatives killed themselves in reply to my own suicide cry for help. I'm sorry, I don't have exact experience, but I think that I at least have a taste of what that is like.

In my dream, my friend got murdered, and I heard the news by word of mouth. One of the worst ways to find out how someone died, actually...cuz you weren't there to "see them off." But she had a friend who kill herself, so I have some sort of 2nd hand experience with this.

I personally revere my dreams nearly as much as my waking life. They are both incredibly vivd experiences to me, and even some dream memories can and still scar me to some degree.

      Reality is indeed more painful.
What a long, strange trip it's been.

      pain

      hey

yeah i used to often dream that my parents or a parent died and it felt sooo real. It hurt everytime soo much and i would just be crying the whole time, feeling the pain. it seemed that everyone else around me wasn't sad, as if they didn't realize what was happening. I wonder if this is the kind of pain I would feel if it were true.

I hope 4 it not to be true.
