What would you call this....?

So, for quite a while in my life i've had these...waking dreams (as i call them). Generally, right before i fall asleep, or sometimes i sorta am aslepp, my mind kinda goes over everything that happened that day, but, at a random part, i'll usually be walking when i'll suddenly fall, and i will jerk awake in real life. I've also noticed that if i am on my phone alot before i sleep, these waking dreams become less common. Does anybody else have these, or am i alone? And what do you call this, could it lead to a LD?

The falling and jerking awake is a form of hypnagogic hallucinations, which are normal to encounter from time to time. The unconscious random thoughts or thinking over the day, I'm told, are often called “dreamlets”. They often closely resemble dreams in content, but I don't think you can really do much with either by themselves in terms of actual lucid dreaming. They're just part of the transition into sleep and actual, full-blown dreams.

specifically called a "Hypnagogic jerk" most everyone experiences them at some point.

Personally, I find working with hypnagogia is a good first step in getting into a WILD.

I experience the same. Also, I find it hard to remember the dreamlets once I "jerk" awake. They almost seem volatile... rarely can I remember even the most basic plot.
This happens a lot to me when I nap at noon.

Yeah i also find it difficult to remember much of anything about them, but it does seem to me atleast, to be my brain proccessing the days events.

They can be really hard to remember, especially as you come close to losing consciousness. It seems that lately, though, as I've started paying more attention, I can notice them start to come on much earlier before I fall asleep, while I still have a decent amount of awareness. This makes them rather easy to remember and sometimes even observe in real time. I've even found that if I relax/meditate and pay really close attention with my mind quiet enough, I can just barely notice some very weak dreamlet-like thoughts pop up from time to time. It's quite interesting.
