      Recurring dream elements

Heya! recently I've been noticing in more and more of my dreams places and other things that I feel sure I've seen in other dreams. They aren't any commonly recurring things or dream signs like school is for me, but more like places I've been to in my dreams once or twice before years ago. I also am seeming to develop a more aware mind with regards to the places in my dreams, only slightly though as I sort of subconsciously realize I've been here in a dream before but I don't become lucid or anything.
I'm not sure how to take this. On the one hand I'm thinking this is showing an improvement in my dream awareness that I am recognizing these places, but I'm not getting lucid off it (yet, hoping to soon ). I am also thinking that maybe my dreams have been showing these places again to me, and generally being more introspective sorts of dreams lately, because of my LD practicing efforts. Perhaps my subconscious is trying to show me that I'm dreaming. What do you guys think about this?

It sure sounds like a sign that your dream awareness has improved. I don't know if your subconscious is trying to tell you anything, I know mine sometimes apparently tries to actively prevent me from LDing
The more you think about LD, the more you talk about it with others the more likely you are to LD or experience nice vivid dreams at least. So yeah I'd take that as a sign that you are progressing nicely.
