Had 30 LDs but still need help

      Hello,

I've had 30 lucid dreams in a year's time, but still have a few questions. For my reality checks, I ask if I'm dreaming and count my hands and plug my nose. However, my first step (the initial question) never appears in my dreams. Is it more effective to say "This is a Dream!" When I do my reality checks, I dont do them very often, because they arent very discreet. Are there better reality checks? My hands seem pretty effective, and I normally look at them during a vivid dream. Also, when I try stabilzation, I always risk fading away during dreams that lack light. What could I do to prevent this? Any more suggestions? thanks

If you are in a dark area in a dream and all goes black, grab ahold of something and feel it. If the scene goes dark just focus on what you are holding onto. I have done this in several dreams and in about 20 to 30 seconds vision just popped back on and i could continue the dream.

When you ask the question if you dream really think about it and don't perform the reality checks instantly. Watch your sourroundings and see if something is strange. If you do your reality checks more intense I think they will appear more in dreams.
