      A Continuous Lucid Dream?

Would it be possible for something that you did in a Lucid dream to still be there when you got back? Has anyone found themselves in the exact spot they were when they woke up from their last lucid dream?

I suppose it would be possible to like... write your name on a wall in your dream and see it later... but thats just because you willed it to exist again.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a in-dream dream journal? XD
I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.

My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.

And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

Of course it would be possible when Ur lucid....so far I managed to always remember the task I intended but unfortunately I wake up even before I get to do it... I even sometimes remember the last lucid I had in the lucid dream. What Ur refering to is Prospective Memory..U brought Ur memory from waking life into the dream world which dosen't always happen.

I've done similar things, I wake up from a nightmare and do dream re-entry to take revenge, the place still looks identical and all that.

But that only involves like two or three minutes of difference, "continuing" a dream that took place several hours/days before is something I haven't managed to do.

People have brought this up before. I've never tried it, but it's a really cool idea. However even if I could have "to-be-continued" dreams, i don't know if I would all the time because, after all, variety is the spice of life.

I do this in nearly all my lucids, I return to certain places I have been many times before.

Also, if you use auto-suggestion then you can return to locations even in non-lucids.

If I'm having a lucid dream, think I've woken up but then realize that I'm having a false awakening, I can usually go back to where the lucid dream left off.

If you're asking if I can lucid dream one night and then the next night (or the next time I'm lucid again) go back to the previous night's lucid dream.. I have yet to accomplish that (tho honestly I don't think I've ever really tried).

I'd say its worth giving it a go, especially if there were certain dreams you really liked. Also, it can further the plot of a particularly interesting dream scenario.

It is pretty reliable too, so long as you autosuggest the location

I think the most I have visited one place is about 5 times or so.

Yes - it's certainly possible. I do it on a regular basis. It's a very cool experience too... Like living two lives, yet I am the same person.

In my continuous lucid dreams, something takes place. A series of events with people I know, those who I have known who have passed away, and others unknown to me. I have conversations with various people, do things exciting and/or routine, and eventually morning arrives and I wake. Within 15 minutes or so all the memories I made in my lucid dream state flood back in and become memories for me. The following night if I just go to sleep not thinking of anything in particular, I pick right up in the lucid dream - where I left off the night before and the dream state life experiences continue. New activities and adventures take place with people I know, have known and those I don't know and meet in my dream for the first time. I eventually wake and roughly 15 minutes later everything floods in and new continuous lucid dreams become alternative life memory events - yet I can distinguish real life memories apart from those of the lucid memories.

Often when I hit the sack to sleep I'll think about something I wish to do, or someone I wish to be with... Like my grandparents or cousin who passed away years ago. Once I drift off into my lucid dream state they appear and we live NEW continued life experiences... Not past real life memories. It's very cool!

Then there's the bad dreams that occur occasionally that can be very unpleasant at times... But over the years I have learned to take full control of my dreams and can change a dream to suit my liking.

For example: for years I had recurring dreams of three tornados that were coming at my from three directions... No matter which way I turned I could not escape the tornados as they closed in on me. They troubled me during sleep for years, but one night while sleeping they appeared in a dream and I stood my ground and let them approach. Eventual they were within feet of me - I was surrounded. I stood they and said to myself in my dream, "this is just a dream, they can not harm me" and there I stood feet from three tornados devastating everything around me, but I was left unharmed and gazed in wonder upward into them as they converged into one tornado circling me. After a while I was ready to move on in my dream and said aloud... Enough. The tornados vanished and I was in a desert. A car was driving across the desert sands coming my way and pulled up beside me. It was my cousin. He smile, leaned over and opened the passenger door and we drove off and enjoyed a long conversation.

Then there was a pack of wolves. These dreams were always random environments, but always in a forest. I could never escape them and just before they attacked me I would wake - heart pounding. Two years ago the wolves visited me again. I was in a dark snow covered forest running for my life, with no way to defend myself. The wolves always controlled the dream. Yet this snow covered forest dream with the wolves was the worst. As I ran for my life I came across a run down cabin and barricaded myself inside. Many of the cabin windows were knocked out and the wolves came in through the windows. I ran to a back room, closed the door that would only close so far and pushed a cabinet against the door, while I looked for a means of escape... There was none. The wolves chewed away at the door and began to push their way in. I stood they wondering what I can do. The Alfa had its head through the door at this point. We stared at one another - he growling at me. I walked over to him, placed my hand on his head and said, "I no longer fear you!" The wolves vanished instantly and sunlight broke through the trees, the snow glistened in the sunlight and I walked out the front entrance of the cabin and walked off into the snow. The wolves have never returned since then.

It took me years to master full control over my dreams (I say dreams, because I have 100% full control over everything now and all my dreams are lucid). So I live and experience what I wish at my will now.

My favorite activity in my dreams other than hanging out with my deceased relatives is flying, floating, hovering and bouncing. Bouncing being the most fun, as I will walk off the edge of cliffs, feel the experience of the rush and just before I hit the ground I think... Bounce, and I'll bounce all the way back to the top of the cliff or what ever it was I jumped from.

Continuos Lucid Dreams are possible, full control over your dreams is possible, and the two combined are very cool!

funny stuff. the answer to OP, "possible"? I've chained lucid dreams many times and I'd say it's very possible to jump back into the same dream with the right amount of experience
