First of all Keep on writing it.
Next you can start to do reality checks whenever you see your dream signs in real life.
Also you can start to try to become lucid using the MILD technique: If your dream sign is your old school,
While you are falling a sleep, you can say repeatedly in your mind something like: "When I see my old school, I will know that I am dreaming" or "When I see my old school, I will do a reality check".
A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service
and compassion are the things which renew humanity.

If you've only been keeping a journal for a week, it could still be hard to identify all of your dream signs. So keep writing in it, and periodically go over it and look for things in common.

If your dream recall is already good, then start trying to induce lucid dreams using any of the techniques. If you're still working on dream recall, (less than 1 or 2 dreams per night remembered), just keep journalling and thinking about your dreams as soon as you wake up.
