      Subconscious

This is a really weird question, but it just popped into my head and now I need to know what you all think.

Do you think the subconscious mind has a sense of humour?

If so, maybe comedians and such could use LDing to come up with new material and such....

Furthermore, if so, do you think that your subconscious would ever act in the interest of being humourous? People always talk about their mind playing tricks on them; maybe that's exactly what it's doing, and enjoying it immensely...

Anyways, a stupid topic I know, but..... thoughts?

(For the record, I think yes, for the most part)

Does your sub-conscious have a sense of humor?
      Yes - the sub-conscious is you **

Just bear in mind the best comedy is derived from the cynical exaggeration of every day life events

      Only you dream your dreams
      to base comedy on that.....

no-one would know what you're talking about

** or parts of you, anyway
The primal ape parts probably have a lot more say than the Latte drinking man parts in dreams.

Well, I believe the sub-conscious is a reflection of our conscious minds, only without external stimuli, therefore providing us with a different perspective. I believe it has the same kind of homor as our conscious minds, as it is not a separate entity, but it reflects humor only to ourselves. Whether other people would find that part of our mind is as subjective to them as it is to us.

I don't think it'd be a basis for a good comedy act, unless the comedian were to talk about something funny that had happened in a dream. Those are just my 2 cents.
