Remembering lucid dreams; what's the perspective?

Lately since I've been training at a constant frame of mind dedicated to resolving the dream state it has been stressing me to a point where my sleep patterns are horrible...

Concerned by this I began to think on a certain topic...
Now, different sources that I've read all seem to state that lucid dreams are forgotten just like regular dreams if you don't remember them. But there's no better knowledge than that from first-hand experience so I ask here on anyone's perspective on the matter.

Do lucid dreams really adhere to the same memory as regular dreams and are as easily forgotten if not held on to or does conscious memory kick in during lucidity allowing one to remember lucid dreams clearly no matter what?

Now I realize that no one can tell if they've forgotten a lucid dream...but any pespectives, feelings and thoughts on the matter would be appreciated given that so many sources say that lucid dreams can be forgotten just like regular ones and yet other factors (some from this forum) have come to make me think otherwise to some extent.

I know for a fact that I have forgotten LD's. More than once I have scribbled notes in the middle of the night and then in the morning have only the vaugest recall.

The dreams that I remember best are the ones that helped me resolve an issue or a grand adventure. Right now, I am having a lot of trouble with recall due to stress. Stress can cause bunches of problems IRL as well as in dreams. Perhaps learning some meditation techniques would help you. I recommend www.meditationcenter.com as a starting place.

I'm pretty sure that I have forgotten lucid dreams before.
But I think that you have a much better chance of remembering a
Lucid Dream than a non-Lucid. Because they generally make me feel happy, and I want to remember them..( ya know what i mean?)....
