Well, surprisingly, I know what you are talking about. Sometimes when I am dreaming, it is as though I am on ice with hot shoes, and I can glide along with perfect ease, and, yes, it becomes a great deal of fun to get fancy about it.

Anyway, you do not really need an actual skateboard, or, rather, a skateboard would be somewhat redundant. This being able to glide along on the ground is akin to the ability to levitate, and it probably is levitating, as I suppose what is really happening is that the Dreamer is levitating at about a very thin height above the ground.

Hmmmm. It suggests an invention. Pressurized cups on the bottom of ones feet which could pump out about 10lbs per square inch would simulate this frictionless 'slide' effect, would it not. It probably would not take much of an engine to achieve those pressures and flow, and it would work well enough as long as the surfaces involved were fairly even.

I've tried SkateBoarding in my dreams... it doesn't work out too well with me, even though I can do it in real life pretty good...

I've had a similar experience with mountainbiking in my dreams, though I've never been tried it while lucid. In waking life, I'm mediocre when it comes to doing tricks or riding technical stuff on my bike, but in my dreams, I can throw down tricks like nobody's business. Its an awesome feeling. If only the skills carried over to waking life...
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

I've had two different dreams where I was on snow, and kicking off against the ground. I would have shoes on that would slide right through the snow. Once I was in like a half a sphere, a bowl if you will, the other time I was on flat snow with some one foot quarter pipes. Oddly enough the quarterpipe sent me flying into the air further than the bowl. In any event, I would spin a bunch of times, bite it hard, and not get hurt when I landed.

Now that I think about it, I had a lot of fun snow-gliding. Especially catching the air and spinning...

Yes, I have skateboarded in a lucid dream. I was at school and i found a skatepark, but i had no skateboard, so I caused one to appear by thinking of one and turning the other way and when i turned back it was there. I have found this is easier than just trying to make things appear in sight. Anyway, It was cool because I had an infinite amount of energy so I would never get tired. The problem is you have to believe you will land the trick for it to work, but I thought it was more fun to just skate through the hallways. If I wanted to get a lot of air there was no point to skateboard because I could just fly. I'd say it was worth doing again though.
