What do you mean when you say to visualize something, during meditation for example. Is visualization different than imagine something?

Is visualization different than imagine something? Nope! Imagination and visualisation are interchangeable terms, and in fact I feel like imagination is the far better term of the two because it's more descriptive. Visualisation makes it sound like we *have* to see it, when if someone tells us to imagine something, it just comes naturally to us. I actually made a video all about this on my YouTube channel, as part of a series I'm making, and I've said pretty much everything about it/the best way to do it in the video, so rather than writing it out I'll just embed the video ^^ Obviously as you can tell in the video I was more talking about using visualisation as a means to change your mindset -> feelings -> actions -> and eventually circumstances. In meditation it can be used for that reason, or for other reasons, like to help relax you, or to help really drive in the purpose of whatever form of meditation you're doing. It can also be used to help you focus on parts of your body - for example if a meditation guides you to imagine light flowing through certain parts of your body, it's likely doing that to draw your attention to those parts of your body.
