LD- Too good to be true?

      Hey,
I have registered on this forum back in 2015 that was when i became intrested in in LD. At first it sounded just to good to be true, ability to do everything i have ever dreamed of yet being unable to do so because of gravity, social stigma or just rules of science. The idea seemed somewhat strange until i had a few semi LD dreams. It was truly a groundbreaking experience, now im back.
Learnt english ( at least to some degree) and became much more decisive...

With that being said, are you guys saying that if i were to be consistent and persistent learner i will be able to LD every night or something like that? I mean, i dont think its all worth effort if im gonna get a few lds a month as in that situation cons would def. Outweigh pros..

Also i would like to adress my issue of being sometimes scared of ld.
I ve had nightmares throught my early childhood till about 12 years old, ( in the end i taught myself to quickly escape the dream by closing eyes, that would lead to awakening)
Prospect of meeting a monster in a lucid dream without control would still be terryifing. Because as we know, to brain pain or fear does not have to have ground basis in reality whilst having a negative impact on a person.

      Thanks!
PS: as you probably guessed im not a native speaker, so if i sound somewhat unclear pls point that out so i can clarify accordingly.

It takes only a few weeks/months to reach 1/mo for most who seriously try, and after that many can reach 1/wk.
trying to jump to 1/night is asking a quite a lot. You would likely need to practice consistently for quite a while.

If you new you could escape the nightmare maybe you were lucid (if only slightly) Lucid doesn't mean in control it means aware.

Make your first goal to remember at least 2 dreams per night (not have one lucid per night), you can do this by practicing wake back to bed, and use the waking period to plant intention to have a lucid dream. Use mantra like "I will remember my dreams" "I will wake after my dreams" when you first go to sleep, and then latter "I will be aware I'm dreaming" "I will become lucid" during the wake back to bed. Also start with several reality checks right when you wake up (so it will lead to you checking during a false awakening). After a few months see how you are doing.
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

Yes i already have a quite good dream recall. I just need to sleep a bit longer tho and i can easily remeber two dreams per night
Edit: Im not asking if i could ld everynight just, at a whim
I know it takes hard work, i just want to know wether its possible in general to have one ld per night.

OP it is possible. LaBerge has done it. In my case, my least lucid dreams I get per week are 3-4. Maximum is 8 and still I don't get them every day or anytime I want to.

Learning to lucid dream is a skill like any other. You need a combination of talent/persistance/time to master it. If you low on talent (and chances one is a "natural lucid dreamer" are not high), you need apply more efforts and persistance. Time needed to reach a goal is different for different people based on talent/regularity of practice/personal circumstances. Basically, if you have mastered some skill (say, foreign language), you have a broad understanding what to expect in learning LDing.

I agree that mastering it will be much better in long term as a result we can use easily and effortless any skill we mastered to a high degree of proficiency.
