Okay so let me start out by saying that I have never had any sort of unusual experience while sleeping until today and that's pretty much why I'm here. Today, I got up at 6 in the morning to make sure my sister was up. Well turns out she was awake and already gone. So, I watched YouTube for a couple hours. This is related to my dream I swear. I was still tired and I laid my head on my pillow and almost fell asleep in a very awkward position, but after that I just sprawled out and drifted to sleep. I remember it was at least half past 8. I'm not exactly sure how my dream started, but the earliest thing I remember is me sitting up on my bed as my sister and her boyfriend walked in my room. We started having a conversation about something and then I started crying about something. I could control the dream mostly, but I wasn't sure whether it was reality or not because It had a weird feeling of like if I were walking around half asleep early in the morning.

I think after I started crying is when the weird stuff started. That's when I "woke up" from my dream and was then in my bed. I'm not sure if my eyes started out open or not, but when I was laying down with my eyes closed I couldn't get them back open. I remember being able to move my fingers, but that's it. I tried squeezing my eyes shut really tight because that's usually how I wake myself up from nightmares. After a second of me struggling, a bright light would appear and flood my entire vision.

I know that this happened at least twice throughout my dreaming. It may have begun with one, im not sure. Anyways, the light looked like it had a face in it, but very faint. It also felt odd. I could feel it on my face and chest. During one of these episodes, I remember stretching my fingers out on my left hand and groping the side of my mattress and when I woke they were still there. However, that awakening could not come soon enough. When the light faded I could open my eyes and one time I could see a very faint figure exiting through a doorway in the wall beside me (which is not how my room is built). It felt like I had just woken up from that dream so I thought it was reality. The half asleep feeling even felt like it had been reduced so I was sure it was real life. The same thing happened again. My sister and her boyfriend were in my kitchen now and we had a conversation about the same topic. I'm not sure if I started crying again, but after that I walked around the house a little and then out the kitchen window where I discovered that my family was now outside in my moms truck doing something. I opened the front door as my sister approached and asked what they were doing. She said that they were drying the cats. Now, I have two cats just to make this seem a little less... weird. I asked why and she responded saying they washed the cats. We don't wash the cats, but I rolled with it. Even if they were outside in a truck drying cats, I didn't question it. I remember lifting my arm up to try and see if I could like actually do stuff, and I could. Also, sidenote, my sister was extremely rude and seemed agitated the entire time. This explains why she didn't not like me extending my arm and touching her face.

This is when the light thing happened again, except I woke up to a YouTube video. It was of the Youtuber I was watching earlier. It wasn't an existing video it was just something my mind had made up for some reason. After that ended, I then ACTUALLY woke up. I knew for a fact it was real because after seeing my room in real life I realized my "dream room" was far different and not real. And after that I googled a bunch of dream things because I'm terrified.

I thought the video part was the most interesting because it amazes me how you can project those kinds of things with such detail in your mind.

So, has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm just a boring dreamer so this is very exciting/terrifying for me.
