Yeah. Unfortunately this can't be solved by anything other than practice, unless you have enough time to perform a stabilization technique. |

I've always been a big fan of practicing lucid dreaming while awake - whatever problem I have, I like to pretend that I'm going through it while awake and do it right. That seems to help improve my confidence, incubate my first thoughts upon becoming lucid, and train me to have positive reactions for any sort of situation that might occur in dreams. |

The way to overcome this as Another Dreamer says is by using the second of the four foundational practices called removing grasping and aversion found in Tenzin Wangyal's book the Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. I often think of how Darth Vader goes Noooooooooooooo when he is told by Darth Sidious that it was his anger that caused his wife to loose her life. No matter what happens in a dream or life the most important thing is not to react. If we dont react or buy into the dream or story during the day then i have seen time and time again that not only will I free myself from the situation but things will turn out better. If you are in a bad situation don't forget that it might be a dream. You can always check it out to see. If it is not a dream then freeing the emotion at least will make things a lot better. |

Another one is that if you think "This can't be happening to me!" you are right you are dreaming! |
