Lucid Dreaming Appearing in Normal Dreams

I've generally been burnt out of practice and swept back into practicing recall. I spent around a week doing that and now for the past few days and last night, the concept of LDing showed up in my dreams. A thought related to it, or me reading up on techniques in the dream. What does this mean exactly? I haven't been doing RCs or awareness practices at all and i'm a bit skeptical about what to do now. I find it weird since i don't get LD thoughts into my dreams previously.

You're probably becoming lucid because you've started practicing recall. You're practicing recall because you want to eventually lucid dream, right? Lucid dreaming is probably on your mind a fair bit then, and it's probably the same way in dreams. Only difference is, you have more recall now.

You will tend to dream about what ever you think about a lot during the day especially if your subconscious recognizes that it seems to be important (for survival, lively hood, reputation etc). It is particularly true of what ever things are running thru your mind as you drift off to sleep also. This allows for you to implant behaviors like reality checking, and also to perform intention setting (with mantras from MILD).
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

I'm not exactly getting lucid, i'm just seeing ld-related stuff appearing in my normal dreams. I did practice recall though.

It's pretty weird that when i just relaxed and stopped thinking about LDing during the day, it started showing up in my dreams instead.

I have had experiences like that before. It seems to me that at times your subconscious is checking to see if you want to have a lucid dream or not, by throwing blatant dream signs at you during your dreams. Or you will dream you are having conversations with others about lucid dreams and things like that. When that happens to me I then start trying more RCs and mantras so I will have an LD...because usually you are close and just need a little effort to make it hapoen.

It's common for thoughts about lucidity to creep into dreaming if they're significant to you, even if you haven't been thinking about it for a few days. For some reason, certain waking-life thoughts can often still show up in dreams even if it's been some time (a week or longer) after they actually happened. People also quite frequently report this, or lucidity itself, happening spontaneously to them in dreams when they decide to take a break from LD practice for a while.
