      Question Lucid dreaming during naps

This has happened to me 2 times already.

I go to the university and I have a quite busy life now, as this is my first year, which they say is the most difficult. When I get home I'm reallly tired but I have a lot of work to do so I usually take short naps, of around 20-30min.

The thing is that I've been having some weird "dreams"... they're not at all like dreams, because they feel like I'm imagining, but they also look like dreams because I'm sleeping and the situations that take place are really weird for me to ideate them.

They're kinda like lucid dreams, but I can't take full the control on them. When two minutes or so passes, I teleport to another place in the dream, which I can't decide, but I can walk here or there if I want to and interact to other peoplein the dream. I also see the signals which means that you're dreaming, such as seeing your hands and face deformed or blurry. I also noticed that this dreams are kinda sexual, and I have sexual experiences with both women and men in those dreams.

It can't be a dream right? Because you dream in the REM stage... but it isn't my imagination either... I really enjoy those "dreams" because they allow me a lot control than the other LD I have at night. But I would like to know, what are they? Thank you so much for reading me and I hope you can help

I'm not an expert, but I researched a little, and it seems that dreaming during short naps means you aren't getting the sleep you need at night, so your body is compensating by giving you extra REM during naps. The dreams aren't very 'dream-like' because you aren't getting the full REM experience. Does this sound right?

Again, I am no expert on this, so if any one who is wants to correct me, that would be great, this is just what I gathered from a few minutes of research.

When I nap at work after lunch, I experience short dream snippets, quick paced mini dream sequences. This sounds a bit like what you described. Mine usually involve combat scenes, or chasing/hunting scenes.

They are very vivid, but short lived, sometimes just a few seconds.

I had my first ld during a nap. Bcz u go thru REM stage directly after falling asleep ( it's all about naps). And I guess imagining n dreaming is bcz u are worried for ur uni life n u think u need to take a 20 min nap only n not more like for 2 hours for example? Do u wake up several times n fall back asleep? I guess waking n falling back asleep count. I hope what I said was relevant
