      Sleep Talking/Screaming

I know someone who mumbles, talks, yells, screams, and even has these sinister laughs, all while asleep. But he never remembers doing it, nor does he ever remember any dreams.

I was wondering if he's having night terrors and just doesn't know because his dream recall is zero. Should I help him with recall? Or should we like, not even go there. It's just that it's been escalating lately, and I'm getting worried, not to mention losing alot of sleep.

He saw his dad die when he was 11. And his 8 year old son has CP. Apart from those two, I don't know of any traumas he's had, certainly not recently anyway. Unless you count dating me. Oh crap.

      Any ideas/suggestions?

Well, i talk in my sleep, and apparently you can have a conversation with me!
I also laugh; someone caught me doing that during a short nap, they woke me and asked me what i was dreaming about.
i'd been dreaming about a cat stuck in a cat flap!

Have you asked his opinion? Personally I'd like to know if it was me.Having negative
crap festering inside you (if thats the cause) has got to be more damaging than
      confronting it. You'd think.

I think many people do these kinds of thing. Not only talking, but, obviously sleep walking, and its many variations, such as sleep swaying (which my sister used to do, followed by thumping into the wall. Scary as hell!). They seem to be happy enough so I guess it's nothing to worry about :S

I guess I talk in my sleep, too. A few years back, I was sleeping at my friend's house. In the morning, she told me I sat up in the middle of the night and said, "Britney, don't be alarmed- but there may be a chipmunk on your shoulder."
LOL! Wish I could remember the dream...

What could be the harm? As long as he's interested, it sounds like a great idea.
