Recording my Lucidity Habits, specifically Reality Checks

Hello, everyone! It has been one month since I'd joined Dreamviews. For both December and January, I am working on creating habits for lucidity as many community members and lucidity veterans know that habits are the pathway to lucidity. Since I am a student of psychology and statistics (more emphasis on the former for now), I know how hard it is to form habits. What I have done so far is the following:

      (1) Record how much reality checks I've done in the day by hour

      (2) Record how much short-term meditations I've done in the day by hour

For both (1) and (2), I have a dream workbook I carry around with me. I keep a note of how much reality check and short-term meditations I have done so that later I can see whether or not I have done reality checks. I also keep in mind but not write down of when and where I have done reality checks.

Example: On January 21, I have done 40 reality checks but I have done them more around 4 to 11 PM. I know that I work around 4 to 11 PM on that day; before 4 PM, I am at home. I also know that I don't do a lot of reality check at home compared to work. Therefore, I need to do more reality checks at home.

Because of this, I can ensure that I can work on doing reality checks every hour. I also record other habits such as short-term meditation, meditation before sleeping, WrILD (Writing Induced Lucid Dream), reality checking when waking up to prevent false awakening, and etc. I can provide more details if requested.

This is a really methodical approach to recording your reality checks and habits and is far more organised then anything I've attempted in the past. I think that with such a constant and intricate approach you'll start seeing some great results. Just thinking about being lucid as often as you are can only be a good thing.

I'll be interested to see how you go.

I'm planning to expand this approach by including prospective memory practice and dream yoga meditation exercises (though I'm still trying to figure this one out); in fact, it was because of the difficultity of prospective memory practice that started this approach. I knew that I needed a way to record when I do a reality check through the prospective memory practice, so I created an approach to recording reality checks as an entry way to slip into the prospective memory practice.
