Question Chain of DEILD or multiple LD in a row?

This morning I had 10 LD, but I'm not sure how to mark them in my DJ, as one or 10 separate. Here is the short story. I intended to use mantra, but instead I use form of visualization. When I close my eyes I saw a little red spot in my vision, so resized it with my imagine hands to a man sized portal and jump in, and so the lucid dream begin. It was very realistic but unstable, so it continue only 5-6 minutes and fall apart. I got myself in the void, feeling my body. I even open my eyes for second or two, but I didn't move, when close my eyes again I repeat the process and got into another dream with different scenario. This repeat in total 10 times. So must ask are these were a 10xDEILD chain counting as 1 LD or 10xVILD counting as 10 LDs?

There's not much consensus on this stuff. Some people would count them as separate LDs, and others as a DEILD recovery, and others anything in between for a variety of other reasons.

Personally, whenever I have a chain, I'd count each scenes as part of the same dream if it took a minute or less to DEILD back in, and/or if I lost track of time. Any between-chain inductions that took longer than a minute would be marked as a separate dream.

So in the end I must decide what to do.

In the initial post, you decided to record this as 10XVILD counting as 10 LDs.

It's fine to stick with this decision and record this in your dream journal as 10XVILD counting as 10 LDs.

      Why?

I may be running a bit contrary to this tread, but I would suggest that you give as little thought as possible to how many LD's you have, and as much thought as possible to their quality. We're really not in a counting contest here, or at least we shouldn't be, and I think that judging your success by how many LD's you have (rather than the growth of your lucid experience) might become counter-productive over time. 10 short, low-quality LD's are worth far less than one long, high-quality LD. That said:

Maybe you could consider this simple rule of thumb for recording dreams in your DJ: Base them on content. If you have 10 DEILD's that facilitate the continuation of a single dream or dream theme, then consider it one dream; but if your dreams are different with each DEILD, then record them as the different dreams they are. When I DEILD-chain to stay with one dream, I always record it as one dream, usually forgetting to even mention the DEILD's; but when the dreams are different each time (which can happen) I take care to record them separately.

      Hi,

Last month I had 100 FA Loop, are these were one LD or 100 LD , but it was a little more complicated and was more strange than my every day LDs.

The First FA was a normal one, I got lucid but the dream fell apart. In the second FA, I wake up as some Indian guy and I was participating in some Ritual of holy death tournament. Long story short, I was poisoned by one of the warriors and every time I died, I wake up in the beginning of the tournament, so eight times I was dying and wake up again. I was lucid, but I didn't have any control of the dream. In my despair I ask for help from my Inner Self, he show up and took my hand with the words "You are so pathetic, I can't stand watching you anymore" while he was gaining full control of the dream. He say "if you want to gain full control of the dream, you must make your own dream inside the dream, to erode him from within" and so in next 90 FA he was training me to gain more control inside a LD.
He turn himself into just a voice in my head. For every FA he was summoning new dream arena with enemies for me to defeat. The FA was ending either if I die or everyone else die and new one begin. I was hearing instructions like "If don't control your emotions your fears will emerge", "Control your emotions", "Control yourself", "not good enough, again", "again".... "again", "remember your goal", "focus". I died at least 20 times and killed everyone 70 times. In the end I had full control of weather, gravity and all five elements. Once I let go of my fear for a second and Giant Mecha Monster appeared, in my anger I made a giant earthquake, that devastated the entire city arena, making double K.O. When the training over and I wake up, I was happy about the end result, but on second thought maybe his idea of "control your emotion" wasn't the same as mine. Maybe if I was controlling my emotion properly, nobody were to attack me at all. More like a perfect peace of the mind. I had micro awakening after every FA, before hearing the voice in my head "again" and another one start.
