      Using self-hypnosis in a LD?

I have always been interested in hypnosis, and I have kind of melted these two subjects into one. In order to hypnotize yourself it helps to reach a "trance" just to imagine yourself in your "happy place." To me, this seems to be nearly the same as a lucid dream. The only difference, I cannot reach my "happy place" during the day, but I can LD all the time. Does anyone know of, or has anyone played with self-hypnosis during a LD? If so, could you share some methods and experiences? I did a search on hypnosis in the forums and didnt really get much of a result, maybe this can help someone out, I know it will clear things up for me

I do a lot of self hypnosis, it is a little different than just going to your happy place, you have to go into a trance and connect with your subconcious, then you can go to your happy place. As for doing self hypnosis in a LD, well what would the point be since you are already in touch with your subconcious, minds eye, and whatever else in your head.

As far as hypnosis and programming your mind goes Id say LD'ing is pretty close to the state you would be in during hypnosis. Technically speaking you pass through this state just before bed and just as you wake up. People can actually induce LD'ing from hypnosis. If you attempt this I would first recommend getting a friend and studying rapid inductions followed by some practice as this (rapid/instant inductions) will get you the 'deepest'.

I try to go into lucid dreams from hypnosis, it is crazy and hard(never really succeded). It feels really weird as your body falls asleep and part of your mind does too(It kinda gives the sensation of imploding) then it feels normal(like you are just laying there waiting for your dream to happen) And at that moment I always get hit by some anxiety so I come out of it, its really hard to explane and not to mention that I have no idea if that that is even close.

Hypnosis... Hmm. Feels a lot like daydreaming to me, really. I dunno why they use such fancy names for it.

Obviously you haven't really gone that deep, because it gets very realistic and can take a life of its own so essentially its like the most lucidest dream.

Suppose so... I've never had any sort of hypnosis happen to me--nothing more involved than a really vivid daydream. Granted, the only thing I've ever tried was self hypnosis... I still do relaxation and stuff like that, though, because it helps me de-stress. I just never managed to get anything out of the ordinary to happen.
