      My strange semi-WILDs

      Hello,

I wanted to share my experiences with the very interesting WILD method I've been trying lately (close to a month now, almost every day), and ask for some tips. So far I've had four somehow lucid dreams, only two of them lasted enough to explore a bit, unfortunately, none of them was actually completely wake-induced, two were purely accidental and the rest (2) were what I now called semi-WILDs.

Enough counting now. I've not been very happy with those semi-WILDs, it surely is some progress and it is interesting, but it's starting to frighten me a bit. In both cases I woke up in the morning, few hours before I usually get out of bed, I decided to try WILD, counted my breathing and relaxed. As usually, I drifted off to sleep unaware of it. But in the dream, from the beginning I somehow still knew what was my intention and that I'm dreaming, the feeling was faint but steady. However, in the dream there were things to be done first, the dream had a goal and without thinking I went to acomplish it, it was all rather dull, everything was greyish, almost black. I kept going and eventually reached where I knew I had to be (took some time, I'm not going to describe it whole) and the wierd quest was finished. I thought, "And now, to the lucidity...". The dream started to fade, I rubbed my hands together and found myself in bed, I recongnised the false awakening and wanted to get out of bed, but I was almost paralyzed! I could only move with huge effort, the dream was still dull and sort of nightmarish (I haven't had a nightmare since childhood though). I eventually got out, encountered some strange monster and after a few seconds of lurching about, I woke up.
Three days later (today) I had a second similar experience. The dream began same as this one, I knew I'm dreaming, but there was a "quest" again, again rather dull environment. Unfortunately I woke up before I finished it and never got to the lucid part.

WILDs are said to be most vivid dream experiences, I wonder why are mine so dark and fady, if it even is WILD. I know that I'm dreaming and it happens right after waking state, so I guess it could be called WILD, but it's dull and there's always something between me and full lucidity, almost like analogy of the waking to sleep state transition I miss when I drift to sleep .

So would you call it WILD? Tips for the almost-paralysis, dullness and anything else will also be very appreciated.

What I want to make my dreams clearer and more realistic, I try spinning around, and usually that helps.
“The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush
