So I'm doing an informative speech on lucid dreaming and need to provide a visual aid, any suggestions? |

Well that's just it, I'm not sure what to use. It's a simple speech, I was thinking maybe just a poster board illustrating brainwave activity during sleep, but that seems kinda boring. It should be something attention worthy. |

Does it have to be scientific or symbolic? If it can be symbolic you could find an oil lamp and be like "what if all of yoru wishes could come true as eiasly as rubbing a magic lamp?" thats sort of thing. If it has to be scientific, umm... Well you could bring in a clock or a book and do reality checks on them with the group? I can only think of symbolic things right now |

I like the clock idea, but what if they look at me like I'm nuts? "Like are you seriously questioning reality?" AND about the book? not sure I follow you there... explain please |

using a book you can do a reality check, try and read the text and if you have trouble reading it you are dreaming. Or look at the text look away and look back again and if it says something else you are dreaming |

I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .

Visual aids are great, but nothing works better than getting your audience invloved, if doing so is an option! |

Well they seem like good ideas but still sort of simple, do you think they'll really make an impression? I guess i'm looking for something more tangible. |

If you want some pictures, you can get inspiration from http://www.lucidcrossroads.co.uk There are tons of quite descriptive images, like here for example: http://www.lucidcrossroads.co.uk/how.htm You'd have to ask the author to use them directly though, I guess. |

^ Thanks. I've used that site for research and I do like the illustrations. I also just thought about music that induces lucidity. I'm sure there's a thread here for that but I'm up for suggestions, particularly something I can download. |
