New Baby (Great time for lucid dreaming?)

Just as the subject imply's, I am going to be a new Daddy soon. I am hoping that this will actually be a great time for some lucid dreaming, because of the interupted sleep patterns. Has anyone actually gone through haveing a baby and using the lack of a regular sleep pattern for getting in some good lucid time? It might be a great way to stay rested and energetic.

      Thanks

Hey, that sounds like it would work! I had my first LD a few nights ago and my sleep patterns were disrupted because it was incredibly stormy and the wind kept waking me up.

So hopefully your new child will be a blessing in more ways than one!

      And congrats BTW!

HI, I was going to respond last night but I was very tiered and sick Anyways, I think waking up at all hours of the night could actually be a good thing! I bet your going to be the only Dad in the world thats excited about that, hehe. As long as you have enough sleep to even enter REM, this should be great.

On a side note, you should talk to your baby about Lucid Dreaming, ask him if he is awake or dreaming. This way you can do ti his whole life and he will be like a "natural" Lucid Dreamer Now what better gift can you give? Congratulations on being a Dad!!!!

Thanks everyone, and thanks Barbizzle for the congrats. I like the fact that im putting the lack of sleep in a positive tone for myself. I know I always have crazy non lucid dreams when I am sick and sleeping off and on, so I think this will not be much different. And will last much longer.. But even if it doesnt work out, I will still have a little baby to enjoy spending time with.

Congrats on the kiddo, Chaka. 8)

I think it is a Really good idea to relate interrupted sleep with LD practice. The only bad thing is that you'll have to work around being interrupted from sleep without a chance to write in your journal before having to attend to your kid. I was out of LD practice when my lil girl was an infant, but she's 5 now and I've already began talking to her about her dreams and helping to teach her how to deal with nightmares and that anything is possible in her dreams when she knows she's dreaming. If nothing else, I think it is interesting to hear some of the things she dreams about.
