      1st or 3rd

When you are dreaming are you in first person perspective(your own eyes) or 3rd person perspective(watching yourself)

Its always 3rd in regular dreams and about 50% of each in Lucid dreams.

I'm almost always in the first person perspective, if I'm in the dream at all. Lately, though, its become fairly common for me to be watching other people in my dreams, just floating around like a movie camera. All of my lucid dreams are first person, and overall, probably about 70% of my normal dreams are, as well.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

Yes, I would worry if too great a percentage of my dreams were in the 3rd Person, since it seems to be shrugging off the responsibility of making decisions and acting upon one's own choices.

First Person dreams are valuable in the sense that one can be shown instructive situations.

Well, now that I think about it, perhaps not everybody is required in their Life to be a person of Action and Decision. Some people may be required only to Reflect and pronounce critical opinion. For such people perhaps it is more important to Witness Dreams of Archetypical Proportions than it is to act out within them.

I often have dreams in the first person, and when it is in third, it is typically looking over my shoulder or looking at what I'm looking at from a 90 degree angle.

Mine are just about always in 1st person. Once in a great while I'll have a dream in 3rd person, but it's been a long time since that's happened.

mostly first but both. Sometimes both in the same dream. Sometimes both at the same time.

Mine are 99% first person and I'm in 99% of them. Only had one or two where it was third person that I can remember.
