Anyone had any dreams in which you knew that the universe or time was about to come to an end (within say, a matter of minutes)? I've had a few recently and I was curious to see how others feel about such dreams.
You would probably think that such a dream would be incredibly scary, but this isn't my typical experience. I'm certainly not suicidal or anything, and fear death as moderately and healthly as the next person, but in these dreams, I always feel completely peaceful and ready for my life to end. The dreams never reach any conclusion because I always wake before the end actually happens.
In one, the entire Earth became flooded with water and everyone was going to drown, but I had no pain, no fear, even a willingness to let myself go (okay, so that isn't really ending the universe, only humanity).
In another, it was almost like there was some sort of universal spiritual revelation as the universe started to end. As the universe began to collapse, the laws of the universe were broken down or erased, as though everything was placed into some other strange reality that shared many properties of our own and seemed entirely feasible, but also had many differences. Talk about hard to explain.
Anyways, I was just wondering if this is a normal reaction to such situations? It just seems weird that I get scared in dreams set within a war scenario or a killer alien scenario, but I have no problems when Armageddon is about to occur or even the entire universe is about to collapse.
