      I can't believe it

      Hi guys,

      I was dreaming and in my dream i said to a friend "this is strange, it looks like a lucid dream" and we proceed, after that i checked my watch 2 times and the time had changed.

      And still i did'nt remember that i was dreaming

      What can i do, iam so close

      Well, it seems you made those things happen passively. You didn't put any thought into them or not enough conceptual thought. To form a habit one must initiate conceptual thought during the habitual action every time it's done, otherwise it may carry into one's dream state but won't have any effect.

      Also, from recent analysis and pondering I've deduced that the optimal form of mental state one could train as a habit is simply being aware of what one is doing at any given moment. Not just being aware of what is around and not just convincing one's self of being asleep and not even just doing a reality check seems to be as effective as simply analysing what one is doing at any given moment and only then either doing a reality check or convincing one's self of the dream state. Obviously I'm not stating this as a fact but it seems to me from certain deductions to make sense.
