Open Eyed HI in Class!

I was in english class toady (first period), pretty much no groggier than usual. I did have a huge case of the early moring stares though, so I was staring at my desk. It was one of those times where it is more comfortable to let your eyes go onfucused and cross a bit.

Because of this the dots on my desk did a kind of 3D picture thing so I ended up looking at the 3D pyramid it formed for a while. During this time, I slipped deeper into the stare, but was still completely awake and aware.

Then the HI started, there was a box drawn on my desk with pen, and as I stared it would slowly fill up with electric pink (like the colours you see at the beginning of HI). Once the box was full, the colour would swirl out of the box and out of my view. It progressed until my whole feild of vision was swirling with pink, and the desk had a wave run through it like it was made of water. Unfortunately I was shocked out of it by something and then it was completely gone, it was fun while it lasted though!

I had an interesting experience today too. I go to a catholic school and our religion class had confession in the auditorium. I immediately moved to the very back corner of the auditorium and just sat there. As I sat there I started to see things; things that are really there, but that noone really notices or focuses on. At one point I was looking at the curved back wall and I could see a transparent wall running across the room, it was pretty cool stuff.

There's actually another name for what you see during the day. Hypnogogic imagery is what you may see before falling asleep, but when you are awake it is called hypnopompic imagery. (I looked it up so it's spelled right.)

EDIT:....then again, I could be wrong. The hypnopompic imagery seems more associated with spiritual stuff. (*wonders where O'nus and his big brain are.)

EDIT2: Well, I looked it up again:

These dreams involve hallucinations either before (hypnogogic) or after a dream (hypnopompic). These may not just involve hallucinations - the dreamer may hear things, smell things, and even taste things. Such hallucinations usually last for just seconds but may continue for longer.[/b]

Hmm... interesting.

I do believe it would be a weird experience to see HI during full awareness and wakefulness, with eyes open...

I sometime see weird things with open eyes to. Weird thing is it allways is the same weird looking thing. Maybe like a bloodvessle in my eye... It does seem to move though.

Every since trying to LD is see (or pay attention) way more things when I close my eyes.

I also had the same feeling some times. I get to the HI by looking in to a static display. It can be a wall or desk or a flower. I think it is a play by our brain. Too much concentration will spoil it.

I remember waking up a few times and seeing something in my hand and actually feeling it too! But within a few seconds it vanishes.

Once when I was sitting in the dark of my loft(no light at all) I started seeing green things moving in front of my eyes. I opened and closed my eyes a few times but they stayed for about half an hour.
