      EG test.

Yep, after the various LDs/..... I have had...I told my psychiratrist (who is someone who works in an office at the U of U) all about it, & she is going to do an EG test for ... in March. Seeker thinks this'll be an excellent chance to get true data on this. I actually have no choice now..thanx to blurting it out.
Kind of creepy, huh? So, what are your opinions?

I'm not sure what EG is, but I'm all for getting tested. Remember, even if your not showing symptons, you can still pass on a STD to someone else.

I am not sure what the acronym matches, but it is suppose to be testing on the brain, like they do on people in REM.

I had something similar done when I was in highschool. I had migranes and dizziness that they couldn't figure out.

First they used sandpaper to scrape off the skin on my forhead so they could hook something up to read my brainwaves.

Then they did all sorts of different tests. They turned the lights off and made these weird red lights on the wall, they had a string with something on it that would swing low enough to just not hit me, then they turned me on my side and shot cold water into my hear...and then really hot water right after it.

It was weird. I guess I didn't mind it except for the water in the ear part. That was very uncomfortable.

Most test are not fun. This is true. But bearable!
But look at it for the better. Do it.
You have a great opportunity here and of coarse this forum at your back!

I believe in stands for "electroneurograph."

      I think...

My dad had one, every 30 or so seconds a page is recorded that shows the brain activity, breathing patterns, etc. on it. It does that throughout the whole night coming out with a thousand or more pages. The doctor looks through it and looks for abnormalities, at least, this is what I'm thinking (I doubt they'd look through each page and analyze it carefully).

I didnt think there was an EG. EKG is related to the heart and then the EEG is related to the brain

      EEG
      1. electroencephalogram.
      2. electroencephalograph.

EG I could not find an acronym for.

Did they mention anything of FMRI scans ( functional magnetic resonance imaging) Or PET (Positron emission tomography scans ). A brain imaging scan?
From what I have read about brain scanning in scientific American, these two often go hand in hand. They did not come right out and say it, but after reading the article you get that impression.

      Maybe it was EEG?
