      Flying straight upwards not stopping

Lately in lucid dreams I have been experimenting with flying straight upwards to see how far I can go. When I get up into the sky I get a very heavy feeling and have a hard time controlling my self sometimes falling back down. How ever the other night I had a lucid and flew up and got what felt the furtherest I have ever been, I was really high up and all of the sudden I was only a few metres above a different dream scape than I had left. I can't say anything for sure until I have tried it again but it may be a helpful way to change the dreams settings. Has anyone else flew directly upwards not stopping?

I did that flying thing too when I was Lucid, except it was out of my control. I just shot up into the sky and kept going further and further. I remember looking down and seeing the world get smaller than I went past a cloud.

I got a really weird feeling like when you high up and you might fall.

I was really high up above the ground, all of the sudden I looked down and instead of being really high up I looked down and I was only 2 metes above a table and chairs, a different dream scape then I had left the ground from.

I've had a few dreams where I'm happily flying around between 10 and 30 feet off the ground, then I go higher and get the fear of falling, like there's no longer anything "supporting" me.

In "Pathways to Ecstacy", Patricia Garfield writes about flying, getting the falling sensation, and the flying straight down and passing through the ground effortlessly. I'd like to try this sometime!
