I know, I know... ideas are a bit boyish here and there, but give me a break. I'm a guy. Girls are free to fill in.
Be creative and make others experience the joy of the "now why didn't I think of that" moment.

This topic is ofcourse about being/meeting fictional characters while dreaming, and not in real life. Some people do wish for the latter, to which I only have this to say: Not gonna happen! (or more appropriate: In your dreams, buddy!)

Hmm... I'd like to have a chat with Aslan, from "Chronicles of Narnia". Seriously good kids' fantasy books... loved 'em when I was little; still do. Hey, if you want to talk fantasy, I'd love to go to Middle-Earth and visit the Shire or Minas Tirith or even Mount Doom... Oh, people, yeah. I'd like to meet the people in Middle-Earth, too. Had hobbits in my dreams last night, but they weren't lucid... too bad...

When the Matrix movies were new I really wanted to have a Matrix lucid dream and it wasn't long until I did. I made around 10 agents and bad guys come after me and I just totally kicked butt. I was flipping everywhere, man, that was one of my favorites.

I like that Spider-Man idea. I gotta try that.

I'd like to meet Death from Terry Pratchett's novels. Not by appointment, of course, but conversation over a cup of coffee would be nice. Maybe Rincewind and the Luggage would drop in.

I'd like to meet Dream from Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ and ask him what the hell his problem was. On the same token, I'd love to spend a day with Delirium. Just because I’ve never tasted telephone flavoured ice-cream.

As far as being someone? I'd have to pick Psylocke from the X-Men. A sexy ninja with telekinetic powers. It doesn't get much cooler than that.

Oh, wait. Yeah it does: Ichigo from Bleach.

Bob from ReBoot. I mean the guy is a guardian who was trained at the supercomputer, but he doesn't delete anyone beause he can't go against his programming. Whoever heard of a virus protection program that doesn't delete viruses? "To mend and defend." And it paid off in the end, too. He was able to find a way to defragment one virus and restore her sanity, and she later ended up saving the entire net from a daemon chron virus.

I'm afraid I'm already close to the real life Charles.

Yay! Me too, although if I were to go to the Myst worlds, it would mostly be to experience the scenery! That is actually on my list of things I want to acheive in a LD; wander around the various places in Myst

As for characters, I want to meet my own characters. Paticularly the one in my avatar. Because that would be really cool...

I think that the two characters on the top of my list of people to meet would be Will and Lyra from Phillip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy. Those have got to be my favorite books in the whole world!

Among the others I'd like to meet: Peter Parker, Rufus (of the movie Dogma), and Captain Jack Sparrow.

I'm AMAZED that nobody has ever said that they would want to be General Greivous from Episode 3! 4 lightsabers all twirling around destroying everything in your path! And think of what would have happened if he had killed Obi-Wan! Try it, and see what happens! I did once, and it was AWESOME! (p.s., it is kinda hard to control four lightsabers cuz you have to have more hands to think about, first time trying i recommend only pulling out 2)

As kafine said, I'd like to meet some of my own characters. Even though I write fantasy stories, I model them pretty closely from my own life/personality, as many writers do... well, at least the women. The men are just kind of... there.

I'd like to be Alice in Wonderland and experience everything she does in the movie, but I'd like it to be less cartoony and seem more like real life. And from an adults point of view. I'd get high with the Cheshire Cat and instead of a mad tea party it would be a mad beer party and we'd be running around like drunken idiots.

Meeting the MYST characters and exploring their worlds would be really sweet. I especially would like to visit Kadish from Uru. I’m also a big fan of The Red Star. There are some awesome characters in those comics! Other cool characters I would like to be or meet:

Gordon Freeman – Half-Life
Master Chief – Halo
Garret – Thief
Alucard – Hellsing
