Has this ever happened... (feels like the matrix)

Your dreaming and yet you know your alseep (I did my own check indeed). So then instead of going on to the next step, you force yourself to wake up. It's like having someone push you out of bed, except that person is you. I slept at 8 today and 3 hours later I wake up at 11 on the dime. (I had a long day at school also, so im dead tired). But heres the question, What was I experiencing? I forced myself to wake up against my bodys will, I had no senses (I couldn't freely move) because my brain didnt give out any signals until my eyes were open and I was in the upright position already. I've done this a few times and now I have to actually ask. It feels like your breaking out of hell (if you have watched ani-matrix, any episode where they break out of the matrix to the real world, it feels just like that, I was sweating and my heart didnt feel to good) Thanks for lookin at this forum

That is a lucid dream, even if it only lasts seconds.

You were frightened. You got a shock and woke yourself up. That's how it sounds, anyway. It can be shocking to the system, and it's very common to wake up in shock directly after going lucid, so..
