Dream Recall is excellent: but no LDs

What is going on? I haven’t had a lucid dream in what seems like about 4 to 6 months. My dream recall is from 3 to 5 dreams per morning. I can fall back to sleep in the morning sometimes taking one hour naps and each time remembering 2 or 3 different dreams. There is almost always something bizarre in the dream but it never seems to faze me anymore that I’m dreaming. Every day I read articles from DV that people write and anything that is even remotely connected to LDs.? HELP please.

I do not wish to hear about the moon from someone who has not been there.

Hi Dreamtamer, way to go on your recall. What helps me identify a dream while I am in it, is to ask myself how I got there or what I was doing an hour ago. That usually triggers your rationale into getting back on track and soon you'll find out you don't remember getting up from bed, having breakfast, going to work etc.

      Hope this helps!

I'm pretty much the same way, what you need to do now is figure out your dreamsigns. Dreamsigns are things or situations in your dream that are charictaristic to you. Dreamsigns will help you figure out your dreaming and hence become Lucid. Once you find and remember your dreamsign/s you will start to become Lucid everytime you see it.

I find that the most repeated dreams are myself at work. Each time it’s a different job but the funny thing is I don't work at this time. Remembering how I got there or why I’m at work again requires memory to kick in and lately the memory in a dream seems unconnected with waking intentions of memory. I probably won't give up but there sure seems to be some mysteries that at least I have not discovered yet.

Judging from the explanaition it sounds like your dreamsign is Setting. This is obviously when your dreaming and the situation your in is odd, the people around you are out of place, or you're in a place you'd neverbe in real life. Now if you can teach yourself to recognize these signs while you're dreaming you'll be golden.

What helps me become lucid is looking for slightly odd things and doing a reality check immediatly afterwards. For example, I noticed there were 4 glasses on the lunch table this morning, even though only two people were present to eat lunch. I thought this odd especially since I didn't notice them before, and did an RC. It can be a little stressful looking for odd things all the time, but it really works for me. Conversely, random RC's during the day does not work for me at all, I really need to look for cues in my dreams.

I don't know what methods you've been using, but I suggest trying to find dream cues in the real world, chances are that practice will pass over into the dream world, as it does for me.

Nice that you have such good DR

Maybe try to WILD or HILD? DILD? Have you found dreamsigns? Do you do RC"s all the time? Just do all of those and I am SURE you will get an LD soon ^_____^

      Thanks guys for the responses.
Like I said I will not give up trying. My RCs could be increased in frequency and at appropriate times but it does seem to require thinking about the RCs as apposed to them being habitual.
