      Disturbing dream?

I typically dont have dreams that feature the visions of what i see as scary.

But i remember being in the back of a house with walking corpses lined up against the wall in an intense amount of pain or suffering. I remember them as either headless or faceless bearing a wooden mask with ring like holes where eyes and mouth would be. They were mangled.

They do not seem violent, just ominous in presence. The actual setting itself is straight out of "Silent Hill". Everything is metal and rusted and the floor is grated.

in the next room there is a room where "The games go on". This means there are thirty school mates of mine in a pitch black room with an occasional flash of light and a man running around with a chainsaw trying to collect as many limbs as possible.

For some reason my physics teacher decides to have a field trip or a class here? The room she moved into is painted pink with barbie on the walls.

I dont remember ever having a dream like this before.

( Looking over dream journal before posting)

... and my dream last night was me killing one of my best friend's entire family and me trying to make it up to that person?

...The dream before that was me hired to assassinate somebody with a sniper rifle at school?

...The dream before that was parents locking children up in the bathroom tied to a doorknob so they might be taken and killed by the monsters in the plumbing? (i remember the most important part of the dream is that the parents were going to kill the children for driving them mad). (Ring related somehow in the mystical power of something in the bathroom, similar to television)

Yeah, ok anybody want to take a stab at what the hell is wrong? It is strange beacuse my day time fears (or fear of the dark fears) have shrunk substantially lately. Are my fears manifesting themselves in the dream world now rather than the real one? Could it have to do with a minor lack of propper sleep?

Whatever it is: its turning my dreams into very interesting ones.

Lack of sleep normally doesn't affect me, although it could be the reason.
I think you may just be watching to many scary movies or playing silent hill a bit to much..
      You guys suck.

My goodness..I've never encountered so many people who dream of murder and evil stuff. Is it hormones? How old are you people who dream os such horror? Could signify your insecurities?

I've tried to interpret these kinds of dreams and I'm generally off (hard when you don't know the person) but there's got to be some anxiety, fear, loneless, rejection, HORMONES????

Fear usually makes me become Lucid in my dreams (but I don't have nightmares too often) but I have found that I can become lucid when I'm scared. I hate fear so when I'm sensing that emotion I get PISSED OFF and then I realize I'm dreaming (cause I'm pretty fearless in real life).

Try that.. try to become lucid when you are in a nightmare like that and see if you can face these bad things...

      goooooooood luck

lay off the video games for a while. -- most of my messed up dreams come from relationships with other people. but every once in a while there's something totally random that's pretty messed up. most of the time i can relate what's happened in the dream to what's happening in my life. but no matter what, there's blood involved... always. *looks over shoulder to see paperdoll salivating* uhhh i gotta go. *runs away*

Hmm, have you actually felt fear, or just observed everything with neutral attitude? Were you lucid?

Cause I hardly ever become scared in a dream. I usually feel uncomfortable (if I do) after the dream ended...

I agree with adidas - video games and horror movies may mess you up badly.

You all say to lay off the video games... which is strange because i've been playing Sim City and Knights of the old Republic... its been months since i've played a scary game.

... or seen ANY movie at all.

To answer Ev's question: no. I cannot think of a time when i become near as paranoid and frightened as when i am awake. I was more afraid after i woke up and wrote down the dream, really. I dont fear pain or injury in real life, i just fear the presence of jeepy creepy stuff. However in my dreams i fear injury and and not phased by strange things? What i fear in real life, i fear not in my dream. What i fear in my dream, i do not fear in real life.

Other feelings come over me in my dreams as opposed to fear, one of which is guilt. For instance in that one dream i listed above i had killed one of my dear friend's family. I dont know why. But the whole dream is me trying futily to make it up to her. (interesting quesiton; how do you make it up to somebody after you killed their family?) According to my dream journal i shot the grandfather in a wheel chair? Yet, spared the black and homeless person's carboardbox when attemping to jump from the window to get away?

Am i dealing with guilt problems? Whatever it is; it sure makes for some amazing poetic material. I mean... locking kids in a room with lights off and a chainsaw... how crazy is that?!

many of my dreams are about me killing people or people killing each other...not so much brutality an stuff, jus good ole killing...really, i think that sort of thing can be symbolic of something else...for example, i know in my dreams, whenever i kill somebody it means that subconciously i feel that i beat them in some competition or another or that i want to beat them and they are my competitive rival...see killing = winning in a competition...but thats me, obviously it would be different for you...but my point is killing deos not = killing necessarily...usually violent videogames or movies can contribute to using something like killing or brutality as a symbolic something in your dreams...but my point is, try to look at it from a symbolic angle...nobody will really be able to tell you what your dreams mean except you

Perj, if these killing dreams are lucid, you may try to ressurect the person.
If they are non lucid, you may use it as dreamsign.

I've noticed that also. Sorry though, I have no answer as to why.
All I know is that in my dreams, I never kill, never hurt anyone or anything, and the closest I have come to being in a fight was a shouting match I had with someone.

Could be age related. I have no desire to go on a shooting spree. There are so many other cool things to do!

Fear and pain in a dream? Oh yeah, I've had one dream that was horrible. It made me feel very sad and sick inside. I wont bore you all with the whole dream but the summary that I was traveling with someone, I did not know who he was the whole time - but in the beginning he was a friend of mine but after that he wasnt anymore or something - and he raped a female store clerk and a female taxi driver, and the raping killed them or something because while he was at it, blood was everywhere. I could feel their pain, and I cried, and felt really sad. I tried to stop my friend, I hit him, screamed to the passing cars for help, but it didnt work. After that he locked me up in a hospital thing with 3 other people, and they managed to escape but I was too afraid, and one of the woman was there, now pregnant, but she was not in our 'cage' (wasnt a cage but there where definately boundaries, although I cant rememeber what they where). When I woke up I felt so sad and disgusted...

Tonight I had a very unpleasant dream. I budged in a room, used by some crazy people. it was like a torture room or something. Tons of scary crap was hanging from the ceiling. Some stuff was on hte walls and floor.
I remember one sign. It said "we will get you in your dreams" and it had some beasts on it.
I wanted to clean the room. and grabbed some stuff, wanting to dump it somewhere. However one of dream characters said to me : "Dont mess with voodoo" ...

      Pretty confusing...
