      CEVs

A CEV is a Closed Eye Visual. It's basically a somewhat hallucination while your eyes are closed. Now, apparently not everyone is gifted with such things. I also hallucinate as long as it's dark. It's really as if I were on a hallucinogenic drug.

Anybody else get these kind of things? I don't mean just light spots, but actual figures, shapes, and even farmiliar faces swirling around you.

Yup. It is called hypnogogic imagery, and its most vivid right before the onset of sleep. I've also experienced a sort of audial hypnogogia, where I can hear voices and sounds even when I'm not fully asleep and dreaming. And yeah, they can be Very vivid, and even intense at times.

Awesome. The thing is though, even if I'm nowhere NEAR sleeping and I just turn off the lights and lay in bed... or if I'm in a dark hallway, I hallucinate with eyes wide open. Guess I'm lucky in that sense. No wonder mushrooms drive me so far I start talking to seemingly there people that don't actually exist... and the snails made for good conversation too.

I'll go off the wall if I ever try LSD. o_o

Hmm. I dunno what you'd call the sort of imagery you have. Intriguing, though.

I've had some great times with LSD, but on my second time shrooming, I took too many, and never shroomed again. :sweat1:

Yeah, I've not done LSD, but my boyfriend has and he said it wasn't all too good. Prolly because it had PCP mixed in with it, etc., and wasn't the real stuff. Shrooms are fun, and luckily it's impossible to overdose on hallucinogens, but too many could give you a bit of a trip that's.. too insane.

Babes, if you do too many mind-altering drugs you never come down. Tis either that, or you just day-dream a lot. And looking at that smirk look you got going for you, I can imagine exactly what you day-dream about. *cough*

Hehe, nah, I've not done all too many drugs... yet. It's just a now and then thing. If you do it to often, there's no room to savour the experience. But I've had these hallucinations for as long as I can remember, and I hadn't had any drugs yet as a six year old.

Passive cannabis/hashish/opium smoking? Tis rife in my family - I'll light up a joint in front of my little sisters or brothers no questions or hesitations. Maybe they’re really weird and see things like you?

Nah, Seriously, you probably have a very strong or developed left-brain right-brain connection. Einstein supposedly had a huge connection between ‘em, and he would fall into intense day-dreams at random. Great minds are alike? To bring love into my interesting educational streak, one of his galfriend’s said she couldn’t stand him because he’d fall silent and be ‘out of this world’ for hours at a time. Seriously.

Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, I’ll leave to your discretion.

      Peace

My friends complain about the same thing.

We'll be having a nice conversation and I'll suddenly stare at something and fall silent for 20 minutes or so. Sort of like a trance really...

      Is fun.

Yeh, I think I know what you mean. Sometimes I'm walking on the street minding my own business, checking out the clothes and shit. Then suddenly a scandalously clad foxy looking shorty wheels into view, and I'm struck as if by lightning for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. This happens almost every other day. Sometimes they even get out their phone, run towards me with a look of extreme urgency and ask if they should call the emergency services.

^ That is a blog of mine that talks about my ability to distort my own vision as well as a few other things that set me apart from the norm.

In the blog I didn't mention the fact that the visions I have of waves of energy and color are extremely vivid when I'm in the dark.

I'm interested in knowing if you have been able to see things your whole life. I have a few memories from childhood that have lead me to believe I have been able to "zone out" my whole life.

i've had this occasionally, though not anywhere near your personal levels of clarity. i never hallucinate with open eyes while sober, and cannot really control when i will experience CEVs. most of the time i must concentrate quite hard to have even mildly clear CEVs.

although if i've smoked cannabis i only need to close my eyes. and when i take mushrooms i often just relax and enter the inner world, (only occasionally speaking to non-existent entities ).

have you had any success with WILD technique? it would seem you are tailor-made for it...

Well I can also control my vision distortion on demand, which is fun. I can make fire-like images and what not, merely on whim. This has been going on since... well... as long as I can remember. Most people just think I'm insane. >.<

Well, I've not tried either WILD nor MILD, because, to be honest, I don't need them. However I guess maybe at some point I should try them.

Well... it's certainly possible that when not having drugs you experience hallucinations because of all the drugs you've taken.

you mean you can become lucid in dreams easily?

my reasoning was that if you experience CEVs whenever you close your eyes, you'd obviously experience them while lying in bed too. so it would seem fairly staightforward to allow them to morph into hypnagogic imagery, and then enter a dream directly.

though i'm now guessing you have little difficulty becoming lucid, so it doesn't really matter...

I'm a natural lucid dreamer. It does have to do with the imagery, but really only if I'm in the right state of mind. Sometimes it's distracting, sometimes it helps incredibly. Quite depends on mood and setting.

I only hallucinate when i'm really tired like most people, and sometimes when i'm really stoned. Once I stayed awake for nearly three days and i was kind of dreaming and awake at the same time, it was a bizzare experience. My friend said it's the wierdest thing he's ever seen, i was talking a load of bollocks for ages . I was sort of dreaming about something, and i was talking to my friend about it as though i thought it was real, but i could tell i was dreaming
