Thread: Mixed up between SP and Transition Phase

Yesterday I had quite the amazing experience. I went to bed early, and lay on my back (quite unusual as I ALWAYS lie on my stomach). I closed my eyes and aimed for a HILD. I was having some great imagery, and as it grew louder and more vivid I repeated the words over in my head "I am dreaming". After a while, with a considerably high pulse for some reason, it went black. The deep black widened, sucking me into a void. Bright white lights and letters flashed up, a vibrant purple dot was in the middle of the void. I felt like I was being sucked in. My whole body was trembling, but numb. I couldn't move. My mind's voice was still very loud as I spoke my thoughts to myself.

Suddenly it blared up into my mind: My heart was beating completely out of control. Completely. I somehow managed to yank myself out of that state and catch my breath. It was scary.. I wonder if that really was just a normal SP state or Transition Phase.

Usually I just rely on my good old use of DILD, but yeah, this was insane.

Anybody have a clue as to what that was and why the hell my heart was racing?

i had a somewhat similar experience once. the last thing i remember was watching some vivid HI.
suddenly i felt sleep paralysis coming on strong. like, insanely strong. my heart started beating fast, and i calmly tried to slow it...instead, it kept getting faster and faster, and harder and harder. i've had my pulse increase abit while in SP, or transitioning, but this was way more intense.

when i finally managed to 'sit up', it was a FA.. i am positive i dreamt the insane SP, because it seems impossible my heart could have been thumping like a double bass kick drum.

perhaps you were far enough along that you were actually sleeping, and you dreamt the out of control heartbeat? *shrugs*

Thats wicked insanity! I have had that same experience, but instead of staring at the wall and blanking out, I woke up from a dream to realize that I couldn't move. My story is pretty much yours except staring at ceiling = waking up in the middle of the night

Yeah, maybe, but the thing is, I had to actually catch my breath even after I had awakened from it.
