I remember only one repeating dream. It was very weird. It was a puzzle.
I saw/felt some kind of grey/brownish mass, and I was supposed to touch it and make some kind of inscription on it.
I moved my finger, but every mistake mass started to behave chaotically and I had to start again.
I dont remember how many times I've done it. But at least 4 dreams and dozens of attempts...

PS. While writing and focusing on this dream, I recalled about 12 different dreams, which I forgot...

these are widely called "reoccuring dreams' and i have only had them as a kid...10+ years ago.

These can be a great to trigger lucidity!

Dunno maybe , I think that the dream might stick in your sub-conscious, then at night you relive it again, maybe with less clarity, as mine usually are.

I have only had two of them that I can remeber, both where when I was a kid too. They were both nightmares and are the only two nightmares I can ever remeber having.

The one I had when I was sick and I kept seeing it every time I closed my eyes. I even saw it once when I was awake, I guess I was more sick than I thought I was heh. I don't even remeber what that dream was about. I think it was kind of like a puzzle like Ev said. Except I remeber it moved and when I messed up it moved really fast. Some reason when it started moving really fast it scared me.

when i was younger and used to get sick i had reoccuring dreams (or more nightmares should i say)

the first one was just of some traintracks and on the otherside a wooden picnic bench with an umbrella. i was trying to get across to it but was scared the train would come and hit me....

the second was almost as if i was wondering around in loads of strands of silky hair. it was horrid

the third, well, this one was more about feeling than anything (even though the 'feeling' of the dream contributed a lot to the 2 above.) i can't even describe it.... something about numbers (?) too many, something was too big and expanding and i couldn't stop it or keep up with it. when i used to wake up from this, the air uesd to feel really 'fat'... sometimes i still get that now...but not often thank goodness.
This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.

About 2 days ago I recalled a dream about me and some more ppl assaulting and taking over a small bank.
I wanted to write it in my dream journal, but always forgot it. So I was randomly recalling it for 2 days.

Tonight I had a dream with the same plot! Almost same settings, almost same characters... I wonder If I'll be able to see it 3rd time and gain lucidity this way...

i'll have the same dream twice in a night... but the second time around i usually take a different route or something is a little different. -- more recently i've become lucid in the second dream.

Recurring dreams are thought to be dreams induced by the fact you need to finish something and you havent.

My dad had a dream that the fence was trying to kill him over and over again - it was only because H hadnt finished painting the fence -his sub-conscious was warning him to finish the fence.

I found this interesting because its like his brain intuitively knew that if he didnt finish it he will get time problems of some kind

last holidays most my dreams had the theme 'school' because I was a lazy slob slacking around and not doing my homework, knowing I would be in trouble but not really caring anyway.

Fence trying to kill him? That must have been one weird dream!!!! That is something I sometimes don't get, how a ridiculous and posibly inanimate object can be chasing you and you don't realize its a dream. It's just so easy to go with the flow of it, kind of like a movie, and you don't really question anything.

I have only had one reoccuring dream I remember of, which I had when I was little, but they were like 4 years apart: It was really windy and I was in some sort of street. I was chasing this kid, who I didn't know, around, trying to help him or save him from something. He was too far away and I decided to jump up and let the wind carry me. I jumped and the wind made me fly, slowly yet smoothly through the street. When I got to the end of the block and turned to the right I saw this misterious bad guy-looking man, who was standing in the shade smoking, and grinned sinisterly at me. I felt a shiver down my back, but kept going. He tries to grab my foot as I pass by him, but misses. I then wake up.
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
