      Dream Souvenirs

      Almost every time I'm lucid, before I wake up, I take something from the dream to take into real life; once it was a huge load of sweets, another time a really cool teleportation device etc. etc.. Anyway, while I'm waking up I can feel the object in my hands and am certain it's there until I open my eyes and... POP... it's gone. Sometimes I get a huge shock from it disappearing. Does this sort of thing have a name? Anyone else experienced it?

      I'd call it "wishful thinking", but other than that I have no idea.

      That kindof happens to me sometimes never really though about it, usally I feel like I'm holding a pen or pencil and when i try to write something it jsut like dissolves.

      Ya that seems right probaly nothing more than imaganation which feels really weird for a little.

      A few times in the past I've woken up feeling as if I had something in my hand, on one occasion I actually watched it fade out of existence. That was freaky, it was probably a false awakening or something though.

      Yes, I knwo exactly what you are talking about! I remebr mostly when I was little I woudl try to hol onto an object as i woke up. A cup woudl eb in my hand one moment and then *pop* the next monet my hand is in a fist and its gone. It was starteling.
