      Try this!

If you ever loose something in real life, try this:

Go into a lucid dream, and close your eyes and start spinning. Tell your brain to think back to when you lost what you are looking for. Open your eyes, and DONT control yourself, just keep saying out loud "Find my (object)" "Find my (object)" Let your body walk around, look for your lost item by itself, dont control it.

Your brain can remember everthing that happens in your normal day, and it stores all of this information deep in itself. When you are in this dream, your brain is running through all of this info to find where it put your lost object!!

once you find the object in your dream, wake up as fast as you can. you should be able to find what you are looking for!!

This is an advanced method of remembering.

That sounds like a cool method, and I think I will try it this way in a LD. Maybe I can....maybe this should be a Lucid task!!
I already have a method for looking for lost objects (I can still try this one):
Get into the WILD trans state, instead of going right into a Lucid Dream, force yourself up. Go look for the item after looking to see what time it is (RC). Find the object, then after having a little bit of fun (open book reading, anyone? Maybe a movie?), go back to bed. If done correctly, you should find the object at the exact location you saw it in the beyond extremely vivid Lucid Dream, along w/being able to tell what else you read/view/saw. Now that is what I call an Excellent Lucid Dream!!

      Okay...
And just so you know, they actually did an EEG test on this...and I found out the following things:
      1) You are not in REM sleep during this time (weird, since this is the most vivid way to LD)
      2) Things you do see are 100% accurate to how they would normally be seen in real time.
Sweet, isn't it? To accomplish this in a LD.
Oh, & BTW, I will see about posting my results Monday, okay (I cannot post Sundays!)

And I can't wait to hear yours....
If you seriously can do this, here is what you'll need:
      A clock in your room
An open book on your desk/table
      Something you lost frequently
Do that thing I said for you to do upon reaching the trans state of WILD.

      Hey, no prob!
And welcome to the forum, BTW (sorry it took so long to do that).
Oh, & BTW, if you do succeed in this, beware the skeptics...they can attack w/o warning on here!!

      lol, thanks!

wouldnt it be sweet to be able to actually meet people in dreams?

I have a post up somewhere about the closest thing to that actually happening.

      Yes.
Though the skeptics go after me about this, I admit I have Dream Shared in 3 different settings:
Both of us are just Lucid Dreaming.
One of us does that WILD thing, & enters the other's dream (As Seen On Spongebob)
Both of us do the WILD thing, and can view current events at the same time.

      Welcome

Why didn't I think of this? Its a good idea and seems like an obvious thing to try.

I'm still unsure about dreamsharing, part of me says its not real and part of me says it is.

Nesgirl is right about the skeptics, just try not to get angry when they attack you.
Recent Dream journal note : I was swallowed by some kind of sea-snake thing

Wow magicrules22311, that idea is very interesting indeed. I'm shocked that less people have thought of it. It's kind of obvious now I think of it. Thanks for the idea.

Why don't you try to somehow have a LD? If you are a video game fan, you could try a VGWILD. I have done that many times.
