well, you have to realize that sometimes the most psychedellic thing will be the life you are living in. Do you ever notice the immense amount of detail that inhabits the world around you? In a sense the world is like a fractal of it self almost. You have to really look, and understand. Something as simple as rust on a pipe can show you tons of interesting visuals, or noticing the formation of trees, or the placement of objects in relation to each other. This relates photography, but more importantly, to drawing, which I think is a very good way to excerise your mind and thought. Draw whatever comes from your imagination, don't think about what it is going to be, kind of like the games the surrealists played back in the early 1920s or so. If you want to draw something from the physical world around you, draw it to show the elements that a camera can't capture. This is all artsy stuff, but it's a great way to let your imagination fly. |
