Well in my "increasing dream realism" tutorial I talk about expanding your senses and stuff. Sometimes life can feel like a wonderfully realistic dreams when you just walk and really focus on things and don't get too involved with daily life.

real-ize constantly that it is your mind, and solely your mind that is creating everything you perceive.

the same mind that creates your dreams.

      --------
also, take something simple. let's say an apple. look at it. smell it. touch it. lick it.

close your eyes. use your imagination to see it. smell it. touch it. lick it.

if one or all of your imaginative senses aren't very realistic, cross-reference with the 'real' apple.
      rinse and repeat...

“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” (or better yet: three...)
      George Bernard Shaw

No theory, no ready-made system, no book that has ever been written will save the world. I cleave to no system. I am a true seeker. - Mikhail Bakunin

Two words: freeform roleplaying. It's hard to pull roleplayers away from their dice and their rules long enough to get them into it, but once you do you can have some very entertaining, creative adventures. I would surmise that such activities are bound to increase your imaginative powers.

      ..while awake?

      well, whatever.

      Drawing.

I say that because it forces you to look harder at your environment. It trains you to notice light and shadow and form without thinking about it. That might help.

be more spontanious! That's why I've been taught during my drama classes and when I attended some stand-up comedy sessions. There is a good book called 'Improv' which teaches you great methods and games you can play with friends to help make you more spontanious and improve your imagination (as that's what improvisation is all about).
As kafine stated, drawing really helps and so does writing. A good exercise is to pick an object and then write about it non-stop for about 2 mintues. Don't hesitate or think too hard. This will teach you to be spontanious and let your mind be more open.
      Good luck.

well, you have to realize that sometimes the most psychedellic thing will be the life you are living in. Do you ever notice the immense amount of detail that inhabits the world around you? In a sense the world is like a fractal of it self almost. You have to really look, and understand. Something as simple as rust on a pipe can show you tons of interesting visuals, or noticing the formation of trees, or the placement of objects in relation to each other. This relates photography, but more importantly, to drawing, which I think is a very good way to excerise your mind and thought. Draw whatever comes from your imagination, don't think about what it is going to be, kind of like the games the surrealists played back in the early 1920s or so. If you want to draw something from the physical world around you, draw it to show the elements that a camera can't capture. This is all artsy stuff, but it's a great way to let your imagination fly.

What im curious about is that if im looking at an image look enough would i able to feel like the image?

for example-my favorite superhero is spiderman and if i look at the pic of spiderman long enough would i be able to feel like him?

maybe if your stoned off your rocker and on acid....

Iv been working at bringing dreams into reality as well, (conciously hallucinate) where I can reach out and totally expect to feel something and if i think hard enough actually feel its texture (barely) and also "seeing" things that arent there (I know this sounds odd but im a pretty weird person anyway) anyway by "seeing" i mean i try to superimpose such as, an image of an apple, into my environment, I cant really look at the apple yet, such as you can do in a dream, but I can "see" it if I gaze at a table for a few second willing myself to see it, Iv been working at this for a few months now and already im getting really good at it, eventually im hoping I can create hallucinations and actually look at them directly inspecting details
to do that I just practice seeing things that arent there, hard to explain really but all i do is vividly imagine seeing it in my minds eye then superimposing my minds image over the real image comming in from the real world (seeing things in your minds eye is easy once you practice a little while)

It sounds like what you want to do is create another personality for yourself, imagining that you are another person or thing, to do that just put yourself in spidermans place, you have the weight of the world on your shoulders but no normal person can hurt you because in the end your better than them in every way (you might get shot like this but wtf) its all a matter of fooling yourself into becomming that person

Is their a way that i can physically fight villians in my imagination?

because i tried to do that once and the image just goes away. is that caused by a mental blockage in my mind? if so is their a way relieve the mental blockage?

Wonder. I get lost in thought pretty easily. My imagination can take chunks of time out of my day. I don't know the type of person you are, but a lot of people spend time worrying. Replace worrying by wondering, and you can find a lot of time to do it each day.

yeah, lay down and relax for awhile (here's a technique I use):
      http://dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24633

get to where your totally relaxed (just before i say to focus on your neck) and then begin to build a scene in your mind, think up what characters are going to be in it and where its going to be at, then slowly begin to put yourself into it narrate it for a little while and soon it will start o become a dream type thing where your mind is slowly taking control of the dream characters actions and stuff, do this often and soon you can do it without relaxing and stuff (in a month or so)
