      What was ur Longest LD?

I went snowboarding a couple days ago and got exhasted and when i came home and assed out on my bed for like 7 hrs...more then i normally sleep...i woke up at 1 am....had nothing to do...so i read for a little bit (Vampire Hunter D )and at about 4 am i felt a little tired and tried to go back to sleep.
This is the 1st WILD experience I have ever had. I was able to will myself into a lucid dream...I was like my body was still clinging onto REM sleep. very odd for me cuz most (the few i have had) of my LD are DILD. anywho....it was weird because everyone says how time is sapposed to be all messed up....well I was in a LD in my appartment in my bedroom and my clock read the real time it was and worked like a regular clock! kinda freaked me out.....another thing that was weird was i was inhibited as if a force was holding me down in the torso area....I could still move but it was hard......I have jsut been working on trying to stay lucid as long as possible cuz i alwasy try to do weird crazy stuff and i lose it. sry if just bored and rambling now.....
How long is the longest LD?

I know some people can stay lucid for a really long time, but mine are about average I guess

the longest one that I had recently felt like it was about 20-30 minutes

I remember after I became lucid, I struggled with dream control for a while, then when I finally got it, it was incredibly realistic and vivid. But I kept slipping in and out of lucidity because I would get so lost in the dream that I lost focus and control. I find that happens when they're more than 5 or so minutes long. I have to remember to keep focusing or I'll forget I'm dreaming and totally lose lucidity. =/

some people claim to be able to lucid dream through an entire REM cycle (over an hour in the waking world).

the longest LD i had seemed to last just under ten minutes.incidentally, it was by far my most realistic and stable.

My first real lucid dream was actually pretty long, a few minutes is what it felt like.

I'll bet you would love to hit the slopes with your snowboard in a lucid!

Anyway. The longest lucid dream had just happened to me less than a week ago. In real life time it seemed to be almost a half an hour. Which compared to 5 -10 minutes was very long for me. It was great!

Mine are usually around 15-20 minutes. But i only really have total control the first ten ; after that i start to slowly lose lucidity.

I went back to sleep in my second one about 7 o'clock and woke up from the lucid dream about 9 o'clock. This was a WILD, so it's about 2 hours non stop lucid.

I don't believe that is possible. In part because REM periods do not last that long. That in which the time when we dream.
So I don't meam to be contradictory to what you say, but there may have been a number of dreams in that period of time.

I've got quite a crazy brain so I tend to go in and out of lucidity. The longest I was lucid for was about 30 minutes and that was when I was in my old school, beating up all the teachers I hated and basically destroying the school with my strength. I remember, trying to impress some girls but they were freaked out. I never could understand why.

Maybe, but then all the dreams were lucid. And this is almost the same as 1 LD (I think).

Some time back, I had a lucid dream that felt like it was around 25-45 minutes long (the range is so wide because it's hard to estimate time passage in dreams--the best I can do is go through the events I remembered and try to guess how long each one took). Before that, the longest ones were maybe around 5 minutes or so, so that one was quite impressive.

Lately, the majority of my lucid dreams have only been from 10-60 seconds long, so I'm still trying to work on it.

Oddly, I seem to stay more or less lucid through the entire dreams, including that long 25-45-minute one I had (as far as I can tell, at least). I have yet to remember a lucid dream where I lost lucidity before it ended. On the other hand, I haven't had much luck with dream control, so I'm trying to practice that more.
