Whoa I Lucid Dream (WILD help!)

Yeah...so..My first attempt at a WILD failed, but my second succeded...uh, save for one itty, bitty, little, tiny, small problem....

      ...

I was asleep, and conscious, but I wasn't dreaming. How could this be? I KNEW I was asleep (I was past the paralysis...I couldn't feel my body at all). As I was laying there, I was thinking to myself, "What if I'm already dreaming, and this is just a false awakening?" and I thought about getting up and doing some reality checks...But at the same time I thought, "What if I'm not dreaming, and I'm still in my bed, and if I attempt to get up I'll ruin this entire attempt?" Before all of this, from time to time I looked around the room (yeah, I opened my eyes, I didn't think it would hurt though people tell me otherwise) and took note of my surroundings. Everything looked the same, yet at the same time I had a false sense of reality ( I mean, I thoguht I was dreaming, but I couldnt tell really). ...anyway...
Yeah, I ended up trying to get up after sitting there for a good coupple of hours and...well, as you can imagine, I was really disappointed to find that I was only sleeping and was not at all in a dream state...Could anyone tell me what went wrong? Any advice, perhaps? Anything else you can throw in to make my chances significantly greater?

      Thanks, I appreciate the help.
Hopefully I'll get the WILD thing down soon...

p.s....anyone get the subject? Whoa I Lucid Dream

I am very inexperienced with lucid dreaming, but good job getting that far! I lost three hours of sleep this morning attempting to WILD because I became too awake... bah! Gonna see if I can do something in an afternoon nap..

I'd say tho, if getting up caused you to wake up in real life, and you felt like you were still asleep when you opened your eyes, then why not try altering reality without physcially moving if it happens again... just to play it safe

      Combined posts

question tho, when you woke up, did you attempt to instantly go back to sleep. Because I became more awake as I took a piss, and reset my alarm clock for the morning... plus I was excited to try it whoops
